The Reed Family went with a space theme this year. Fort Snelling

It was Civil War Weekend at Fort Snelling in the Twin Cities.  The fort was packed with reenactors who gave verbal history as you toured each part of the grounds.  The day was complete with gunshots and a cannon firing.  We hadn't been there in years, but we picked the perfect weekend for a return visit.

There's a great local farm in Afton that we visited with Lois and the Jolly family this past October.  They have an apple orchard, pumpkin patch, small farm animals, and a quaint little store with more goodies.  Elliot seemed to enjoy the farm animals and pumpkins especially.
