Movie Night

By February 23, 2009#Life

Jill and I watched parts of the Oscars last night (thank you TIVO and fast forward) when we got home.  It’s not something we always watch, but parts of it are usually fascinating… Hollywood is definitely in its own world.  We usually stay pretty current on pop culture… not necessarily because we’ve actually seen the latest movies or thoroughly listened to the latest music, but mostly because we read EW or catch an entertainment recap show.  So we could probably tell you a lot of useless facts about entertainment… so in that spirit I share with you a documentary worth watching.  It’s actually a featurette on Star Wars Episode 3 (Revenge of the Sith).  It’s called “Within a Minute”.  It’s the most amazing behind the scenes documentary I’ve seen on the making of a film.  It’s kinda like a Discovery or History Channel piece…They really explain the process of making a movie and detail numerous administrative and production roles.  It basically explains what all the people in the credits do.  It’s 79 minutes long and well worth the watch if you’re looking for something to learn.  It’s way more interesting than the Oscars.

Why is it called “Within a Minute?” (Especially since it’s 79 minutes long.) What happens it that minute? What’s within it?
