I just woke up a few minutes ago and I do feel a little sore.  I finished the 13.1 miles for Speed the Light yesterday in under 3 hours.  Definitely not a stellar performance, but at least I did finish.  I cruised through the first 7 miles and then started to cramp up.  So the half of the run I found myself running and then walking, running and then walking, running and then walking.  I was a little disappointed, but not surprised… I hadn’t run in 3 weeks because of my back and knew that I’d be a little rusty.  I really like running, but I think I’ll stick to 5ks and 10ks  =)

Well done. Glad you were able to complete it in spite of your back problem. Run on, boy!

And my back doesn’t hurt at all!

Matt, I’ve got to say you’ve ruined me. I’m somehow envious that you got to run the half marathon while I was in clinicals. What have you done to me? I used to embrace my lack of -er- running. And non… I think I’ve become a runner. (But I’m with you on the whole 5 or 10k bit. 13.1 miles? Only for Speed the Light.
