Jill and I have been consistently running the last few weeks. We’ve learned to layer and have been able to run through the cold and snow. One thing I’ve noticed throughout the last couple of weeks is how much time seems to slow down when you spend an hour outside. It would seem like adding another hour into an already packed schedule would just make things more hectic, but the reality is that it makes times slow down. Rather than each day being a blur in my memory, I now notice the seasons, weather, and my surroundings. It really is quite relaxing. Even if you can’t run, I’d encourage everyone to just spend an hour walking as many days of the week as you can. It makes you appreciate life a little more.
