The Power of Video

By November 12, 2013#Tech

I am a huge advocate of utilizing video in the church world.  I don’t think it’s used enough and I see it as the most effective form of media especially within the context of a morning service. A powerful video can take you into another person’s world and experience their culture. It can capture a moment, an emotion of a memory, or communicate a mission.

Watch this Samsung video of Lebron James. Mr. James had quite an image problem following his exit from Cleveland to Miami. In two minutes you catch a glimpse of his world and you can see him as a husband, father, and friend. I’m not a huge fan of Lebron James, but it certainly made him more relatable. He seems like a guy I wouldn’t mind calling my friend. Scripted or not, the power of video is evident.

I'm a husband, father, leader, and geek whose time is wrapped up in faith, family, film, and travel. I guess I'm a little like the equivalent of a utility player in baseball. I'm happy with not being the best at something as long as I'm always trying to get better.
