Every Tuesday night I swing over to suncountry.com to check out their wing-it fares in the hope that the dates and price will line up perfectly for a spontaneous trip somewhere in the US. They offer cheap fares every Tuesday night for upcoming weekend flights. It brings me back to 2007 and the inadvertent overnight day trip to New York City with the Jollys for $99 round trip per ticket.
It was a surprise for Jill who had no idea what we were doing. It was an amazing 24 hours that included Ground Zero, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, and a very memorable cab ride (as illustrated by the above pic of Shannon). Watch the video to see the whole story.
