Sports Moments

By May 7, 2008#Life

Thanks to a rain delay I’ve been able to watch the Twins play in Chicago. Carlos Gomez just hit an infield single to complete the cycle. The last Twin to hit for the cycle was Kirby Puckett in 1986… 22 years ago! I tend to unintentionally catch a lot of these sports moments live on TV. I saw Bonds hit number 62. I saw Tiger Woods amazing chip shot at the ’05 Masters (happened to flip to that channel at that very moment)… Tom Glavine’s 300th victory… Adrian Peterson’s record rushing game… Michael Jordan’s last playoff game-winning shot… Christian Laettner’s buzzer-beater…Kerri Strug’s vault.. and of course, Chris Webber’s time out. I can’t explain it, but I’ve seen them all live. Maybe it’s just the Reed heritage of sports viewing.

I'm a husband, father, leader, and geek whose time is wrapped up in faith, family, film, and travel. I guess I'm a little like the equivalent of a utility player in baseball. I'm happy with not being the best at something as long as I'm always trying to get better.
