Some Traditions

By December 26, 2008#Life

There are some traditions that are logical, some nostalgic, and some that are nonsense.  One of our nonsense traditions, when we’re able, is to see a movie and eat Chinese food on Christmas day.  I’m not entirely sure how this began.  Maybe it’s because in my family we do our big meal and gift exchange on Christmas Eve, leaving Christmas day for relaxation and to contemplate the birth of our Great Savior (in my case over a cream cheese wanton).

It’s nonsense and silly, but I like it.

I hope everyone’s Christmas day was full of peace and joy.  It’s my 30th Christmas, and still the wonder of it all hasn’t ceased and I hope it never does.

Merry Christmas everyone!
