I was deeply moved when Marcia told me about Paul. Our families were good friends as we were growing up. I think we spent almost every Sunday evening, doing scavanger hunts and watching “The Sealtest Big Top” on TV. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Paul & Charlene Johnson email (Wednesday, May 14th, 2008)

Phyllis, Beth, Matt & family, I am so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing. I have so many fond memories of Paul at Zoe. I will always remember Matt’s games and Paul in the stands, and that is why I know that in heaven he is still cheering all of here on. It is a bitter sweet time, but Prasie God, that we know to absent in body is to be present with Christ. God Bless you all in this time of sorrow and joy.

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. I spent a lot of time in the Reed household while growing up as a friend of Betty Jo. I remember Paul Eddie as always having a smile on his face and always being full of enthusiasm. I have very fond memories of those days. I’m so very sorry for your loss.

When I think of Paul, I think of his wonderful sense of excitement about life – a genuine love for people, love of family and his deep and abiding faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His smile radiated an inner joy that brightened many lives in the Butler area. He will be greatly missed. May God’s grace abound to you Phyllis and to your children and grandchildren. In Christ’s love, Lucy Dollar

Ed and Natalie Smith email (Monday, May 12th, 2008)
Phyllis and family,
Ed and I were so sadden to hear of Paul’s passing. Although it has been many years since we’ve been in touch, we remember well Paul’s deep Christian faith and love for his family. I often think back to our teaching days at Center Twp…Paul and I teaching 4th grade in the ‘basement’ and you, Phyllis, the gentle French teacher. May the strength of your faith in the Lord comfort you and all those who loved Paul.

Phyllis and Family,
So very sorry to hear about your tremendous loss. It is also a loss to many of us who knew and loved Paul. He was such a blessing to so many. How we enjoyed him extremely when he came to South Africa on that mission trip – he enriched our lives so very much. God Bless you all – Kathy & Charlie
