Matt Reed was born near Pittsburgh in Butler County where his father, grandfather, and two centuries of ancestors were also born.  His family moved away from PA and landed in multiples cities in Minnesota and Michigan before settling for a few years in metro Detroit.  After graduating high school in 1995 he moved to Minnesota to attend college and has lived there ever since.   His mom now lives near Detroit and his sister is in San Diego.  Currently Matt is working full-time on staff at Valley Creek Church in Woodbury, MN fulfilling a variety of duties… everything from student ministry to video editing to occasionally leading worship or preaching.  He enjoys movies, sports, playing and writing music, photography, videography, DIY home projects, lawnmowing, web and graphic design.  Click here for posts by Matt.

Matt and Jill met in 1996 and soon became close friends. They were married on August 21, 1999 in Maple Grove, MN.  They live in Oakdale where they just purchased a new home.
