Our first 5k

By August 12, 2007#Life

A couple weeks ago Jill and I ran a 5k on a whim. We saw a flyer in a Caribou the week before and decided to set our alarm the following Saturday at 5:30am. If we could wake up, we’d run the race. We managed to crawl out of bed and made our way to register early. The race was the first annual fundraiser for the Douglas County Chapter of the Red Cross and appropriately our first 5k as well. Our certificates arrived in the mail this week. Now we’re looking forward to running another 5k in the Twin Cities in October.
