Fort Snelling has become one of favorite destinations this year and this time we made it during World War 1 weekend. Though in my opinion their specialty era is the Civil War, they did a great job bringing the history of this early 20th century conflict to life.  The infantry drill was the highlight as they simulated attacking a fixed gun position.  They fired blanks and kids swarmed the field after the demonstration to grab shells.
